theory
During the cooling process, the compressor compresses the gaseous refrigerant into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas, which is then sent to the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant dissipates heat and condenses into a high-pressure liquid. After being depressurized by the throttling device, it enters the evaporator. In the evaporator, the low-pressure refrigerant rapidly vaporizes, absorbing a large amount of heat from the surroundings, thus cooling the indoor air. The vaporized refrigerant then returns to the compressor, and the cycle repeats.
During the heating process, the flow direction of the refrigerant is changed by the four-way valve, enabling the condenser and the evaporator to exchange their functions. This causes the indoor air to be heated up, completing the heating cycle.
